I am currently an intern at both House of Woodward of Hickory, NC and Collective Interiors of Asheboro, NC.
Tell us more about your experience at
House of woodward.
"House of Woodward is a full service interior design studio based in Hickory, NC but serves the Piedmont and beyond. Working with Holly has been a great learning experience. I work on anywhere from reflected ceiling plans, floor plans, or site visits. She is very flexible and considerate and takes the time to teach you not only about design but real life situations."
Tell us more about your experience at collective interiors.
"My experience at Collective Interiors has been fantastic! They are a full service interior design studio with a retail store in downtown Asheboro, NC. I have worked on anything from helping customers to refinishing furniture. I have already learned so much about retail, salesmanship and furniture design. My overall experience has been very positive and educational."
What advice to you have for future students?
Start looking for an internship earlier than needed. It can take longer than expected to find the perfect fit.
